Our Team

Merrick Richardson, CPA
Principal

Rick, a founding partner of Layton & Richardson, P.C., earned his degree in Accounting from Michigan State University. He has been providing auditing, accounting, financial statement preparation, tax and management advisory services to business entities for over 40 years.

Rick’s areas of expertise include accounting, auditing and tax management of construction contractors, closely held businesses, real estate developers and governmental entities.

Vickie L. Crouch, CPA, CGFM
Principal

Vickie joined Layton & Richardson, P.C. in 1981 and became a partner in 1993. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and her Masters in Business Administration from Michigan State University.

Vickie has a great deal of experience in the auditing and tax management of construction, real estate, nonprofit organizations, government, broker-dealers, manufacturing and service related organizations.

Steve Plumb, JD, CPA
Principal

Steve joined Layton & Richardson, P.C. in 1999 after operating his own firm for nearly 25 years. He earned his degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and his Law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Steve has been involved with accounting and tax preparation, planning and consulting for small to medium sized businesses throughout his career. He also has expertise in entity formation and structuring.
